Let's talk scrapbooking

My name is Dana Brooks and I a total scrapbook nut. I have been scrapbooking since 1999 and I cannot even begin to imagine my life without scrapbooking. It is a total creative outlet for me. I like getting my hands dirty and trying all the cutting edge techniques. I am currently working on an album about my love of music and also one about the love of my life( my husband), and recently saw an article in CREATING KEEPSAKES (the greatest scrapbook magazine of all time), about a scrapbook titled "If it were not for you....and plan on doing something on that.


Right now I am totally into ribbons, decopauge, dying, and painting. Almost every page has one of those elements on them. I am also into CHIPBOARD...oh my gosh. I love it!

I just recently decided to try altered journals, paint cans, tins, and clipboards. Also, I finally made an album made from paper bags. Saw the idea, at Windy City Scrapbooking in Chicago.
I also plan to do an altered cupcake pan...yes a cupcake pan. My moto alter anything alterable....lol

I am also about to join the IRW ( I remember when..) team, thanks to my buddy Karen! Can't wait.

I have so many plans. Just need to put all of them into effect...lol
I am also a big shopper. I am blessed to have so many great stores in Illlinois....I am a big fan of Paper Creations, Archivers, Hobby Lobby, Michaels and Joann's ....

Also been finding great stuff at Scrapbooker's Legacy in Oak Lawn...

I have met so many great people because of scrapbooking. I am very passionate about my hobby. It is as much a part of me as my arms and legs.....lol

I eat, live, and breathe scrapbooking!

It is truly a great addiction to have. My husband doesn't think so when he gets the credit card bills... HE JUST DOESN'T GET IT!!!
